KNCCI Targets Kenya’s Trade Ties With South America.

Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) is looking to increase bilateral ties between Kenya and South Africa.

KNCCI believes that trade with countries in South America to diversify Kenya’s exports markets and reduce its resilience on traditional partners.

So we are working closely with the Kenya government to identify areas it can provide support to Kenyan businesses and looking to exports to South America by providing trade finance and navigating regulatory barriers,” he said.

Ngatia said another area they are looking at promoting Kenyan products by getting direct flights between Kenya and Bogota the capital city of Colombia.

“That way we shall enhance our capacity and reduce the costs of our products to Colombia.

If we can have Kenyan airline for example Kenya Airways (KQ) and has a direct flight to Colombia we shall be able to have more and new export opportunities for Kenya’s businesses especially in agriculture and horticultural sectors,” he said.

He said KNCCI are working closely with the Kenyan government and other stakeholders to identify and promote these opportunities.
