Outgoing Kajiado North Member of Parliament Joseph Manje has thanked Kajiado people for a Peaceful Poll process and even if victory was postponed, Mr Manje says he will join hands with the elected leaders for progress.

In a Facebook post he noted

“Dear citizens of Kajiado;

I take this opportunity to thank you all who welcomed us to your towns and villages and gave us an opportunity to sell our agenda. To all of you who sacrificed your time and energy to spread our message, we are honoured and blessed to have had your invaluable input. Our vision did not align with that of the majority of the people of this County and I have it within my heart the ability to accept the will of the people.

I thank H.E. Dr David Nkedianye for his companionship in this journey. We believed in our abilities until the last minute. We combined our efforts and shared in all good and bad times.

I thank all of you woke up early on the 9th of August 2022 to vote for us. Despite the unfavourable, unequal and perverse political environment we competed in, I remained steadfast and true to my principles. I resisted all urges to deviate from issue based politics and desisted from politics of tokenism. To those of you who were cajoled and enticed to renounce your belief in our vision but still stood with us, may your uprightness be honoured even by future generations.

To the people of Kajiado North, the ten (10) years as your Member of Parliament is a blessing to me. The milestones we achieved will be in my heart for all the days I live. Thank you for your trust in my leadership.

To our worthy competitors, asanteni. Congratulations to all the elected leaders and may your leadership bring progress to our County.

May God Bless each of you, May God bless Kajiado County and Kenya.”
