Immediate former Kajiado Senator Peter Mositet has called for streamlining of the Kajiado land sector.

“One thing that we are involved in is the community to get a trust deed. We have people who are settled already. The titling of some people’s piece of land is being spearheaded.”

They should however have had involved the community because they overlooked public participation but they didn’t follow the right procedure. Only a few tried on how they could get land but left a majority without.

Being a private land the  community ought to sit and come up with a good plan without interference from the county government which is also claiming a chunk of the same piece of land.

The leadership of the community needs to sit down and get an amicable solution. CIDP needs to capture the zoning of the counties and the densely populated areas should be safeguarded.

The agricultural areas should be safeguarded for pastoral land should also be safeguarded.

People should be assisted to register land  and to be self reliant on land.

Mositet also implored upon the Kenya Meat Commission to be more funded to be able to implement the livestock offtake program.

He at the same time called for Afforestation so as to restore water catchment areas.
