Nairobi South MCA Waithera Chege finally clinches UDA ticket
The Nairobi South MCA can now breathe a sigh of relief after the Political Parties Tribunal dismissed a petition challenging her victory in the UDA party primaries.
Waithera Chege is the Nairobi South ( South B) MCA and is also the Majority whip at the Nairobi City County Assembly.
Last week,the MCA blamed a sitting MP for her troubles that have seen her undergo battles at the party’s election board and the Dispute Tribunal.
On Tuesday evening,she announced that she was now free to hit the ground running after the case challenging her victory was thrown out.
“Case challenging our repeat nominations has been thrown out,” Waithera posted on her social media accounts.
She asked her opponents to join her in defending the seat on behalf of the UDA party.
Waithera was the elected for the first time in 2017 under the ruling Jubilee party
