Preparations for the annual County Assemblies Sports Association (CASA) Games bonanza have been finalized ahead of the kick off this Saturday.

The games hosted by Nakuru county will bring together all the 47 county legislatures at the annual event. 

Speaking in Nakuru last Friday, CASA Chairperson Peter Imwatok noted that Nakuru County Assembly and the entire County Government were well prepared and ready to host this year’s games.

Mr Imwatok who is also the Leader of Majority in Nairobi County Assembly was addressing officials at a meeting of CASA Sub committees which was held at Nakuru City County Assembly. 

This year’s games are themed: “Inculcating integration and social interactions through sports and diverse cultures”. The games will bring together more than 6000 public officers from the County Assemblies.

The meeting brought together sports coordinators and chairpersons of sports committees in preparation of the CASA 2023 Games fete which will be held between 19th – 29th August.

CASA Chairperson has called upon all the MCAs and staff from the 47 Counties to seize the opportunity and leverage on cohesion and co-existence during their stay in Nakuru.

“I call upon all Members of County Assemblies and the staff to seize opportunity while in Nakuru during the games to leverage on cohesion and co-existence”, Imwatok pointed out.

Respective county assemblies have prepared strong teams that will participate in various disciplines. The teams expect to post better results compared to last year.
