National Bank Launches Education Enabler- Elimu Konnect

National Bank has today  unveiled it’s new Education Programme Offering dubbed the Elimu Konnect.

Head of Change and Integration Fred Kioko noted that ElimuKonnect is a convergence of partnerships meant to power formative learning and the future leaders anchored on SDG4 and SDG17.

  “We have launched our flagship education enablement program Elimu Konnect committing KShs. 2B towards the support of the education.”

Elimu Konnect will improve Infrastructure development, leadership capacity building, innovation in learning, Energy and Water provision, Digitization & ICT Infrastructure as well as Asset Financing for schools.

ElimuKonnect program addresses the challenges in the Education sector in Kenya with a view to capacity building, financial enablement, technology improvement, innovation and excellence in learning.

National Bank will finance projects to member schools at 11% in a bid to support them achieve quality and excellence in learning for both Primary and Secondary schools.

“We also have a financing partnership with Kenya Private Schools Association (KPSA) and UNIFIED Alternative Providers for Basic Education and Training (APBET) Schools Association.”

The Chairman of Alternative Providers for Basic Education and Training (APBET) Schools Association Moses Wakono noted

“Low-cost private schools had been forgotten by education stakeholders, and today marks a great milestone when a bank partners with APBET Schools. This will go a long way in improved delivery of education.”
