ODM women leaders in Nairobi who missed party nominations vow to support Azimio

A section of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) women leaders in Nairobi who failed to capture nominations have now vowed to support Azimio One Kenya Alliance in the run-up to the August General Elections. 

Addressing the media on Thursday after holding a meeting, the leaders led by Catherine Okoth say that despite some of them missing out ODM tickets during the nominations, they will not abandon the party but will remain in it and ensure that its presidential aspirant Raila Odinga clinches the top seat, the presidency come August.

The women leaders also lauded the move by Raila Odinga to settle on Narc Kenya Party Leader as his running mate for the presidency. 

‘We as leaders from Nairobi are going to work to ensure that we deliver Nairobi to Azimio One Kenya. We will move door to door and ensure that Nairobi is Azimio,’ Okoth said. 

Others present at the meeting included but not least to Zara Abdi, Anita Epale Nanjala who failed to capture the ODM Woman Representative nomination ticket, Zipporah Mueni who missed out on the Mukuru Kwa Njenga ODM MCA nomination ticket, Roseline Ochieng from Embakasi Central amongst many others.
