Raila brings business to a standstill in Thika Town, Kiambu County

ODM Leader Raila Odinga on Saturday brought business to a standstill in the busy business town of Thika in Kiambu County.

Raila had held a meeting with hundreds of leaders from Mt Kenya region at Mt Kenya University (MKU) situated in the outskirts of the busy Thika Town before his entourage snaked through the town from Mt MKU as he made his way to Thika Municipal Stadium where he held a rally attended by thousands of residents.

The stadium was overflowing with people who wanted to hear from Raila who was officially launching his presidential campaigns from the historical stadium.

He was accompanied by several Governors, Senators, MPs, MCAs and CSs.

Cabinet Secretaries present were Peter Munya (Agriculture), Sicily Kariuki (Water) and Raphael Tuju (CS without portfolio).

Governors present were Joseph Ole Lenku (Kajiado), Lee Kinyanjui (Nakuru), Prof Anyang Nyong’o, (Kisumu) Cornel Rasanga (Siaya), James Ongwae (Kisii), Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega), Martin Wambora (Embu), Francis Kimemia (Nyandarua), Cyprian Awiti (Homa Bay), Ali Hassan Joho (Mombasa), Anne Kananu (Nairobi), Nderitu Mureithi (Laikipia) and the host Nyoro Kiambu.

Others were former Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero, former Presidential Aspirant Peter Kenneth, RMS Chairman SK Macharia amongst several other leaders.
