The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday met with the ODM Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) county chairpersons.

During the meeting, the Opposition Leader says he asked the county BBI leaders to ‘cook, protect and equtably share’ the BBI process.

‘Tupike, Tuilinde, Tugawe kwa Haki.’ Raila wrote on his social media platforms.

Raila said that their mission in BBI is to bake a bigger cake, protect it from thieves and share it equitably…shared prosperity.

He further said that he asked the leaders to make BBI their core ODM business.

The ODM leader also said that the handshake remained strong.

Raila has in the recent past been on a charm offensive to market BBI across the country after Senate Majority Chief Whip Irungu Kang’ata wrote a stinging letter to President Uhuru Kenyatta who is Raila’s partner in the BBI process aluding to the fact that BBI was not popular in Central Kenya, remarkls President Kenyatta has since refuted.

During an interview broadcast on four vernacular radio stations broadcasting in Kikuyu language on Monday, the head of state asked the Central Kenya masses to support the BBI process saying it was to benefit them more and that the process was not one aimed at propelling Raila to Statehouse as many has been made to belief.
