Roy Mwathi Re Elected Clearing Agents’ Chairman

Kenya International Freight and Warehousing Association (KIFWA) Mombasa branch chairman Roy Mwathi has been reelected during the association’s AGM held at Missions to Seamen hall in Mombasa county.

He trounced his rival Rajab Hamisi after garnering 124 votes against his rival’s 102 votes during the hot contest.

Leonard Njiru was re-elected the association’s branch vice chairman after trouncing Mohamed Hasan 117 votes against 107 votes.

Musa Ambira retained his position as the association’s branch secretary and Esther Kariuki was re-elected branch treasurer.

In his acceptance speech during the well attended meeting Mwathi said his re-election is win both to the clearing agents and the logistics fraternity.

He said his immediate plan is to ensure stakeholders have conducive working environment.

He added the plan is to have business transactions with cargo clearance to be more efficient.

We will work with all the players to ensure that all cargo and goods are cleared within the stipulated timeframe,” he pointed out
