Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen moved a motion in the Senate that saw Senators adjourn debate on the Revenue Sharing Formula for the 7th time.

Murkomen urged Senators to give dialogue a chance urging senators to give dialogue one more chance arguing that Kenyans are suffering and a solution on the matter is needed.

“Give dialogue one more chance and a conversation on how to find a way forward. I want to beg and request my colleagues, we have a chance, Jubilee and ODM are here with us and Uhuru is our president and Raila is also our leader.” Murkomen pleaded.

Murkomen further urged Senators to unify the country but not divide it adding that the Senate needs to come up with a conclusion on the matter so that those who gain gain and those that will lose, lose.

“I wish we listened to Orengo last week. If we look at the formula there are people who are going to lose and we have the confidence to say that Kenya is about the population?” Murkomen said.
