Tanzania’s Head of State will be a guest of the state according to State House spokesperson Kanze Dena Mararo.

Kanze said in her press statement Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan will be in the country for a two-day state visit hosted by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

She said the two-day official state visit by the Tanzanian President will begin on Tuesday courtesy of her host President Kenyatta at the State House Nairobi.

“Other details of Her Excellency’s visit will be shared in due course,” she pointed out in her press release.

The President of the United Republic of Tanzania’s visit in the country will be the second trip outside her country after the demise of John Magufuli, her predecessor, who died aged 61 after Covid rumours.

The Tanzania’s Head of State’s first official trip was a one day visit to Uganda last month to meet the country’s President Yoweri Museveni where she visited the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) to conclude a Tripartite Project Agreement.

The two Heads of State are set to launch the $3.55 billion project, the longest electrically heated pipeline in the world.
