You will have your results today, Magoha tells KCPE candidates

The results of 1,181,725 candidates who sat for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams will have their results released today, a statement that has been given by Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha.
This number is an increase of over 100,000 candidates from those who sat for the exam in 2019, where 1,083,456 did the exam.
Magoha is set to announce the results immediately after handing a report on the exams to President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House, Nairobi today.
The exams kicked off on March 22 and ended on March 24 and were delayed by the current Covid-19 pandemic.
In a statement given by Basic Education Principal Secretary Julius Jwan last month, the marking was conducted by teachers contracted by the Kenya National Examination Council(KNEC).
He also said that they employed both electronic and manual means of marking, where they engaged the services of 7,000 examiners.
Though cases of irregularities were minimal, cases of girls being found pregnant and others delivering while examination is on course were still prevalent but handled appropriately.
