Ndaragwa MP aspirant George Gachagua has braced himself ahead of the August polls. The man who seeks to unseat the incumbent who is the Jubilee secretary general Jeremiah Kioni, was handed his nomination certificate yesterday at the Hustler Center.

Mr Gachagua cited complacency as the reason why Ndaragwa is the least developed constituency in Central Kenya.

“I wonder why in this era there’s no single inch of tarmac in Ndaragwa yet it’s an agricultural rich constituency which renders farmers impoverished,” the sharp and witty Gachagua noted.

Ndaragwa boasts of fertile arable land that sustains dairy farming, vegetable/horticultural farming and is also strategically positioned at the nape and entry point to the neighboring Laikipia county.

The serious and tough speaking Gachagua wants to give Mr Kioni a taste of his own medicine by sending him home as early as 8am on the election day.

With the UDA wave having spread in the mountain region like a raging bushfire, Mr Gachagua is hopeful of clinching the seat.

“I will make sure I bring fresh impetus of leadership in Ndaragwa so that we can be at par with other constituencies in the region,” he added.
