Governor Johnson Sakaja’s pick for Nairobi City County Revenue Authority chairperson Andrew Chege has vowed to raise county revenue collection per Financial Year to Ksh.70 billion from the current 9 billion.

Chege has vowed to diversify on upward trend the Cityhall revenue with 60-70 billion target per financial year.

Speaking during vetting by the Assembly budget and appropriation Committee the former KRA statistics director says his performance pure based on proper strategy and collective responsibility.

“We have something on the books and some on streets we shall work with reality ..we shall be on good debt management,increase and spread collection of revenue.We shall also strengthen our revenue streams.” He told the vetting panel.

The committee is now expected to table a report on Tuesday for the name of the nominee.
