KPA in process to recruit new Managing Director

The process by the government of recruiting a new Kenya Ports Authority [KPA] Managing Director is at an advanced stage.
Nyali legislator Mohamed Ali alias Jicho Pevu defended the government move to have a new team under the Kenya Kwanza administration.
He said once the government competed the process to replace KPA acting Managing Director Amb. John Mwangemi it will move to re-organize its structure.
“The next step at the state corporation will be the post of KPA board of directors chairman,” he pointed out.
Jicho Pevu said this was part and parcel of election campaign pledges made before the August general election.
He was speaking when attending the launch of Mombasa ni yangu program famously known as county casual workers at the Treasury Square garden in Mvita constituency, Mombasa County. Mombasa governor Abdulswamad Nassir presided over the lauch for over 2000 casual workers.
The legislator said the re-structuring of the authority’s top management is in line with the Kenya Kwanza manifesto to create employment opportunities to local residents.
Jicho Pevu told the forum the move is also in line with party policy that freedom was coming to the county after UDA succeeds the Jubilee administration during the August polls.
He insisted freedom is already here after William Ruto succeeded retired President Uhuru Kenyatta as President.
“The local elected leaders are united with a common goal and speak with one voice,” he pointed out.
