MDD Nairobi Chapter Halts Operations Temporarily Pending Grace Period

Acknowledging the importance of the recently announced temporary truce between AZIMIO leadership and Kenya Kwanza leadership, the MDD Nairobi chapter has temporally halted their operations in Nairobi pending the one week grace period that H.E.Rt.Hon.Raila Amollo Odinga gave on Sunday.

The group has however promised to keep monitoring the situation as it unfolds. Should there be need be to swing into action with military precision.

“Nairobi being the capital city ,we as MDD Nairobi chapter wish to remind the business community that we are pro peace and pro economic development of our country ,we therefore support the gradual ecconomic recovery path that we shall experience for this week.”

“We urge the law enforcement engencies and the criminal justice system to unconditionally release any of our members who might still be held behind bars for any MDD related cases .”

“We urge all our members across the county to stay put as we observe the constitution of the bipartisan approach to current state of affairs . Equally ,MDD Nairobi chapter wishes to fully support the process and express interest in being included in the discussion”. Geoffrey Ochieng -Gwecks MDD Chair Nairobi Chapter said in a statement.

The MDD Chair also thanked all their supporters who remained state fast with them during the two week liberation struggle that was majorly a success.
