Mulembe Nation Leadership Call For Unity Of Purpose Amidst Heightened Political Tension

Politically diverse Bungoma officials have mobilized demands for cooperation to advance the County’s development.

While addressing congregants at St. Immaculate Heart of Mary Misikhu Catholic, Webuye West, Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula and Governor Kenneth Lusaka led the group, which focused on unity of purpose as a major force for progress and total transformation.

“Let’s take pride in who we are and work together to achieve the desired result to propel Bungoma into greater economic heights; we will walk the walk in unison, like the ants,” Wetang’ula declared.

In his sentiments, Lusaka expressed a firm commitment to work closely with all leaders in the quest to attain the legacy regime.

“As we endeavor to bring forth change and deliver on our manifesto, my administration will embrace partnership and mutual collaboration with both National and County leadership,” affirmed Lusaka.

He further urged residents to accord leaders ample time to revamp the County’s economy and subsequently improve livelihoods.

“We are in the office to serve everyone despite their political affiliations; support us in the course for transformation,” he observed.

Lusaka also highlighted his initiatives across the County, noting that projects are ongoing and a taskforce to streamline Webuye and Chwele Municipalities is in place.

“The World Bank has allocated funds towards upgrading our two municipalities recently gazetted; I have approved the taskforce to look into the boundaries and lay clear structures before operation,” he reiterated.

Also present for the church fundraising were: Bungoma Senator, David Wakoli; Woman Representative, Catherine Wambilianga; County Assembly Speaker, Emmanuel Situma; MNAs, MCAs, and senior county government officials, among others.
