Muslim Community Call for Peace Ahead of general elections in August

Mr Hassan Naado, of Supkem says, “As religious leaders we are here to preach peace. Even the word Islam means peace. We have to change the narrative that there has to be bloodshed every time we have elections.”
Mr Naado highlighted the need for a peaceful coexistence in the country citing that peace is all our country needs.
Mr Naado was also quick to warn our leaders to shun hypocrisy.
He said. “Let our leaders be honest and practice what they say. Mr Naado also decried the high number of aspirants which stand at 12,/00 yet the only available slots are 1,800.
