Nairobi Governor warned against Nomination of Asha Abdi as Chief Officer

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has been called not to nominate former Mombasa Chief officer for trade, Tourism and Investment Asha Abdi to be among the chief officer for Nairobi City County.

Asha has been accused of being fronted by the former Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has been her name for nomination after his successor Abdulswamad Sharif Nassir refused to nominate her among the chief officer for Mombasa.

Investigations reveal that Asha is the reason behind the huge pending bill of close to 3 billion for Mombasa County.

A close source revealed that they will not allow her nomination because it will be a huge blow to Nairobi City county.

“We are well informed former Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has been fronting the name of Asha for nomination in Nairobi as a Chief Officer. We are aware that he left a big pending bill for that county and we cannot allow her to be in Nairobi County,” the source stated.

“Asha is not among the names who applied to be among the Chief officers foe Nairobi but her name is being frontwd by the former Governor,” the source added.

She served in the County of Mombasa for the two terms that Joho was in office as the Chief officer for Finance and planning and her last term she served as the Chief of staff Trade, Tourism and Investment.
