With the political dust having settled down, questions are being raised as to the inclusivity of some of the Nairobi UDA Diehards in the Kenya Kwanza government that stood with the party since it’s inception, midwifery and eventual popularization of the same party.

Many of the candidates that were flying UDA flag in Nairobi remain in the cold.

This comes even after a good analysis points out that in several counties, most of the UDA strong pillars demonstrated by party registration mobilisation and candidature have been included in various government agencies where they have secured placement.

It has become trend of His Excellency to include first those who vied at the county level as governors, women reps and senators in high profile positions regardless of their qualifications and integrity.

One such diehards are those that braved strong Azimio areas that include Hon Macdonald Mariga of Kibera, Dr. Boaz Cheluget of Ruraka and Hon Billian Ojiwa of Mathare Constituencies. Others candidate’s for Kamukunji and Dagorethi North,

These Candidates sacrificed a lot and deployed their resources for the welfare of the party – the United Democratic Alliance – which to sell in areas like Ruaraka – an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) stronghold, was akin to selling pork in the middle East.

Some these candidates were kind enough to sponsor Members of the County Assembly (MCA) candidates to fly the UDA flag high and they all became garnered significant votes.

Now the big question that remains unanswered is how most of these appointments for UDA on the ground here in Nairobi were left out in the cold whilst from other parties especially ANC and Ford Kenya have been included in government leaving out UDA specific candidates in the county.

The Candidates have been lobbying and are imploring UDA party leaders His Excellency Dr William Ruto and His Deputy His Excellency Rigathi Cachagua to see to it that Nairobi UDA Diehards are included in his government.

One of the supporters in Ruaraka claimed that they have been marginalised and discriminated in the county and they cannot get jobs, bursaries and scholarships because no UDA party leaders are in the county or national government.

The UDA candidate in the area has been vocal to protect education and Health of the supporters in the area.
