Expansion Strategy

Kimani Was speaking after the leading local retailer announced the relaunch of its Prestige outlet today  giving it a fresh new look.

This is the 62nd Naivas outlet and it officially opened its doors in December, 2019.

The outlet has been refurbished to the next level of a foodmarket with more emphasis on the general products that match up to the world class shopping experience the brand has become synonymous with. This has been a long time coming but the retailer is officially ready to relaunch the outlet and reintroduce it into the market place as the future of shopping experiences.

The outlet, a food market, is located in Prestige Plaza along Ngong Road and now covers over 50,000 square feet of trading space after the refurbishing.

“This move was driven by our need to constantly meet and exceed customers’ needs, as the business is alive to the fact that the environment it operates in is changing and the consumer is evolving. As a brand that prides itself in being innovative, we have over the years been re-engineering the in-store experience which led to us pioneering the foodmarket concept in 2016 and this particular refurbishment speaks to our relentless commitment to this cause. We were determined to deliver a store for the Nairobi resident that truly brings the world to them,” said Willy Kimani Chief Commercial Officer.

As a way to mark this mega milestone, the retailer kicks off a four-week heavy deal of exclusive offers dedicated to the outlet to ensure that all who walk through its doors will walk out having experienced true authentic Kenyan hospitality through massive savings.

This development comes a month after the retailer launched its flagship store for the Western Region of the country; Naivas Foodmarket Simba along Kakamega Road in Kisumu.
