Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) party is in the process of preparedness for the 2027 general elections taking advantage of the gains during last year’s polls.

PAA party Secretary General Lucas Maitha pointed out they want to take advantage of what they have achieved from last year’s polls to define their next move in the next polls.

He said he is optimistic the party will be more stronger and larger than during last year’s poll come the next polls.

“We are going  to take advantage of last year’s polls to strengthen ourselves ahead of the 2027 polls,” he added.

He was  addressing  the media after a closed-door consultative meeting with elected and nominated leaders held at Travellers Beach in Mombasa county.

The PAA party Secretary General said they have embarked on a strategic format ahead of the 2027 general election.

Lucas added that the meeting was a bonding session aimed at knowing each other and refuted claims the party is a regional one.

“We have elected members of county assembly [MCAs] beyond the coast region which is clear testimony the party has a national outlook,” he pointed out.

The former Malindi lawmaker told the media during the briefing which was graced by party leader Amason Kingi who doubles up as Senate Speaker that they have agreed on how to move to the next election cycle.

Lucas regretted the party was registered late towards the 2022 polls arguing that this made them not well prepared for the polls.

He said they did the best they could in delivering as late entrants into the political scene.

“The party is one of the largest in terms of strength at the national and county assembly levels,” he pointed out.

The PAA spokesperson disclosed they are 11th overall nationally and the party had an outstanding performance despite being registered during the last minutes to the general election.

Lucas told the media they were wrestling big boys in the country’s political scene who were already established compared to their party during the polls.
