Re-Union sink Usaclife in a Nairobi West County League

Former Kenya premier League (KPL) side Re-Union Fc put up a gallant show to edge out Usaclife Fc from Eastleigh 2-1 in a Nairobi West County League tie staged at Ziwani Grounds.

Re-union coached by Moses Were started the match on top gear by leading 2-0 before half time with goals from Seth”kasisi”Omondi and Dickson Gitahi

The Eastleigh side came back strongly in the second half creating several chances that were thwarted by Re defence led by Goalkeeper Nehemiah Omondi.

Their efforts were rewarded in the 72nd minute through Samson Otieno who caught Re-union defence flat-footed. Caleb Maina of Re-Union was chosen the man of the match.

The former KPL side are lying fourth in the League with 29 points.

Former Re-Union, Gor Mahia and Ulinzi Stars midfielder Tom Ogweno who watched the match lauded his former club saying they deserve to be in the KPL.

Speaking after the match, Ogweno lauded Re-union players for showing top class football and urged them tk work hard a d taje training seriously.

Ogweno promised to assist the club through coaching in the remaining matches to finish top in the zone.
