Senators to Block Court’s Decision to Recognise LGBTQ

Two Senators from the coast region have vowed not to allow the registration of the National Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (NGLHRC) 2013 as a Non-governmental organization in the country.
Kilifi Senator Stewart Madzayo and his Mombasa Counterpart Mohamed Faki condemned the decision by the supreme court to allow the registration of NGLHRC in the country.
“The court decision is against moral practices in the country,” they pointed out.
Faki said the court decision is not in line with the penal code which is against homosexual practice.
He was speaking during a media session to condemn the court decision held at Mama Ngina Waterfront in Mombasa County.
The Mombasa Senator blasted the court for going against African culture and religious teaching.
Faki told journalists the decision to register the LGBT rights group is against human beings’ rights and the Almighty God.
He insisted homosexuality is not legal and vowed they won’t allow it to be practiced in the country.
“The court decision is like allowing the registration of thugs rights in the country,” he pointed out.
On his part, Madzayo criticized the supreme court judges for letting down the entire country with the decision to give the registration of the LGBT rights group a clean bill of health.

He told journalists the court has caused embarrassment to the country with its decision as the entire nation had its hopes on them.
‘’Where the country had invested hope on has let down the entire country by supporting homosexuality,” he said.
The Senator lashed out at the court for violating the country’s respect to allow the gay community the registration of a rights organization.
Madzayo who is Senate Minority leader urged members of public to join in condemning the Supreme Court ruling.
He asked Kenyans to rise to the occasion to condemn the LGBT rights group in the country as it is inhuman to allow homosexual practice in the country,” he said.
