The Founder of Totosci Holdings Ltd, a company that manufactures cables locally, Mr Anthony Muthungu has been recognised for his outstanding job.

The Kenya Bureau of Standards in a post seen by CitizenWitness Digital, wrote:

“Our mentee, Muthungu K Anthony,  founder of Totosci Holdings USB Cables has won the Business Innovation Challenge at Tangaza University College.

This win will earn him either a Full or partial Scholarship to pursue an MBA in Global Business and Sustainability -Social Entrepreneurship.

This is a young innovator who came to the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) with the idea of making a manual Ambubag ventilator for use in ambulances during the Covid 19 pandemic. The testing and metrology team critiqued the presentation and advised him to look for ways to have it automated.

Mr. Muthungu Anthony did not stop there, he brought forth a USB cable that he thought he had improved and was advised by Dr. Henry Rotich, Director of Testing and Metrology to seek certification, which, he did.

Betty Maina, CS Industrialization visited his factory and Mr Muthungu also met the president and has also won a prestigious US award.
