Wambugu Githaiga: Subsidy was key relief to Kenyans
The Chairman and Chief Executive of the Umbrella body of Mau Mau Governing Council Mr. Wambugu Githaiga has urged the government to reconsider the reinstatement of subsidies in this tough economic times.
Hon. Wambugu said the subsidy has been very keen in cushioning Kenyans from the high cost of living.
“This is important, first to ease the cost of living by enacting the subsidies especially on food and fuel. It’s a welcome call especially at a time when Kenyans are already overwhelmed by the skyrocketing prices of basic commodities which has been occasioned by the high cost of living. So I’m calling upon the Government to consider that.
Mr. Githaiga added that Kenyans are expected the Government to take an affirmative action so as to restore public confidence.
Mr. Wambugu Githaiga is outspoken, fearless and patriotic freedom fighter who prides himself for being the voice of the voiceless.
