Boost as Betika Comes to the rescue of NSL Clubs

The stage is all set for the Betika National Super League kick off after clubs were fully kitted by sponsors Betika gaming firm in a colourful ceremony held at the Jericho Camp Toyoyo grounds.

18 clubs led by former Kenya premier League (Kpl) side Zoo Kericho were kitted with Betika branded uniforms and balls ready for the new season.

Other clubs that benefited from the Betika and FKF partnership include Migori Youth,Mwatate Fc,Kisumu All stars, SS Asad, Bomet APS,Modern Coast, and newly elevated Naivas FC.

Other teams include Fortune Sacco, Mara Sugar,,Shabana,Vihiga United,Muranga seal, and Transmara.

Addressing the gathering,Betika CEO Nicholas Mruttu said his firm is happy to be associated with grassroot football which nurtures young talent.

The three year partnership worth Ksh.90 million was hampered by the Corona-19 pandemic that saw the league halted and many players lose their earnings and livelihood.

Mruttu called upon clubs to continue observing the pandemic rules as prescribed by the Government and the Ministry of health.FKF CEO Barry Otieno lauded Betika Gaming firm for supporting young talent from the grassroot.

“They came at the right time when we had no sponsor.We are very grateful for Betika support.They will get value and if all goes well,we shall extend the contract.We are looking forward for an interesting season.As a Federation,we shall continue to respect the Government directive of observing Covid- 19 protocals” Observed the FKF spokesman.
