‘I Will Teach Ruto A Political Lesson Which He Will Never Forget’ Raila Vows

The Boda Boda riders’ problems will be solved soonest and the sector will return to normalcy.

Orange Democratic Party (ODM) leader Raila Odinga assured the sector he had a discussion with President Uhuru Kenyatta over the crackdown on the riders following the incident in which a woman was assaulted in Nairobi.

He reiterated the incident should not be an excuse to victimize innocent riders.

“It is very unfortunate that this has caused tension in the country since the incident last week,” he pointed out.

Raila urged the government to deal firmly with the criminals who assaulted the woman in Nairobi.

He spoke during Azimo la Umoja rally in Kisumu county.

The ODM party leader told Deputy President William Ruto to roll up his sleeves in readiness to challenge him ahead of the August election.

He said Ruto has formed a habit of undermining him and that he lacks respect in the political scene.

“I will teach Ruto a political lesson which he will never forget all his life during this year’s polls,” he said.

The former Prime Minister who was accompanied by six county governors defended his baba care funds when he forms the next government.

Raila said the government has enough funds through revenue collection which can cater for baba care.

He said the fund will cater for single mothers and as a social protection for elderly persons.

“The government is losing a lot of funds through corruption which can cater for such a kitty,” he pointed out.

The ODM party leader insisted the government has enough funds for the proposed program.

Raila said when he seals all loopholes of graft there will be enough  money to cater for baba care programme.

The former Prime Minister lashed out at his critics for misunderstanding his madoadoa remarks.

Raila scoffed at his critics for misreading and taking his remarks in Wajir county out of context.
