Youthful, vibrant, brilliant, sharp, focused, determined and personable are just but a few of the attributes of Molo member of parliament the honourable Kuria Kimani.

The Legislator was elected for a second term owing to his unmatched track record and development in the cosmopolitan constituency of Molo.

And to cap his endeavors, the decorated member of parliament is now the de facto Chairman of the national assembly committee on Finance and National Planning.

The humble and down-to-earth legislator, in humble acceptance of the mandate Bestowed upon him noted:

“Thank you H.E William Samoei Ruto and Deputy President H.E Rigathi Gachagua for giving me a chance to serve as the Chairman, Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning. Thank you Molo constituents for your prayers and voting for me for a second time.

Thank you my family for the love and support. Thank you Hon members of our committee for voting for me unopposed.

I commit to serve this country with hard work, fairness and dedication. Finance committee is charged with among other roles proposing revenue raising measures including taxation.

This has many times affected our economy adversely. For our business people, some of our decisions has led do the closure of your businesses.

In addition, our decisions has been challenged in court. This has even led to numerous court injunctions being issued to stop the taxes.

This has been mostly because of lack of public participation or them being against the constitution. We need to do things right. And I will work with my committee to ensure in as much as we expand our tax base, we don’t hurt more businesses than we create – and that public participation is properly done when doing our laws.
