QS Raidon Munoko Confident He Will Replace Wetangula as Bungoma Senator

As 8th December beckons, the Bungoma Senatorial race is getting tighter with each candidate doing their best to meet the threshold.
Raidon Munoko, a Quality Surveyor by profession who is an alumni of The University of Nairobi is now more than ever determined to clinch this executive position despite the many mushrooming challenges.
Munoko is vying under independent candidature despite the fact that Bungoma has since time immemorial been known for its party politics.
Among other 13 candidates who have shown interest in this race, Munoko stands out for showing his undisputed interest in youth and women empowerment, inclusivity of persons with disability as well as fighting for the rights of the marginalized communities in the region.
During an exclusive interview with The Times Newspaper, the hopeful senator stated that his dream is characterized by building and realization of a new Bungoma where residents enjoy every bit of what truly belongs to them.
“I encourage youth, women and persons living with disability to register their companies, Community Based Organisations and Self help groups before the 8th of December,” advised Munoko.
This he said is in preparation for them to start doing business directly with the County government once he officially takes over office.
He also promised to bring back Nzoia Sugar Company to the people besides overseeing implementation of access to government procurement.
“I will oversee full implementation of 30% access to government procurement opportunities by the County government to unlock the economic potential of youths, women and Pwds.
The enthusiast youthful leader also vowed to bring a new dawn to Bungoma artistes by erecting a state of art studio in each of the 9 Sub Counties to nurture and promote talent.
Bungoma County farmers also have something to smile about after the principal’s commitment to resurrect cotton and milk factories.
“I will revive Malakisi Cotton Ginnery and Webuye pan paper besides Kitinda Milk factory in Kanduyi,” Munoko reiterated.
This he emphasized will create employment to thousands of people directly and will also create a steady source of income to farmers across the County.
“I will by all means fight for the marginalized communities in this County and for starters I will ensure Mt. Elgon eventually becomes a County that stands on its feet for the betterment of entire Bungoma fraternity,” Munoko concluded.
