Wambora moves to cushion Embu businesses from the 3nd wave of Covid-19

Embu Governor Martin Wambora has waived penalties and lowered licences fees in a new raft of measures aimed at cushioning the business community from adverse effects of the virus.

In a statement to newsrooms, Wambora who is also the Chairman of the Council of Governors noted, “Penalties on land interest and land rates, property rates and rent will be waived between 15th April 2021 and May 31st 2021 to enable clearance of all the outstanding arrears”.

Further, the Governor directed that payment of alcoholic licences for the year 2020 be waived to cushion bar owners from the adverse effects of the curfew and enable the sector to recover.

“Penalties for all outstanding single business permits for the year 2020 are hereby waived” the Governor added. Governor Wambora further extended the deadline for payment of single business permits from 31st March 2021 to 30th April 2021.
