Professor Joseph Mbugua Mburu, is the candidate to watch in the forthcoming Kandara By elections.

In an exclusive interview the Reknown professor had this to say in respect to his candidature:

“My first and foremost key priority is the establishment factories for value addition. I want to establish two factories in every ward.

These will be phenomenal for value addition of our products especially the agricultural products which we readily grow here in Murang’a chief among them being coffee, tea, avocados, macadamia, and so on.

These factories will also ease the unemployment gap which we currently have because they shall absorb our youths who have been jobless.

It’s a shame to see graduates idling by the roadsides because of lack of something to do. The same graduates make the education investment go down the drain because they eventually indulge in drug abuse especially alcoholism which has been rampant here at Kandara. I’m here to end this once and for all.”

The Prof, who according to an independent pollster is the second most popular candidate, also has great plans to woo investors in Kandara so as to exploit the a lot of untapped potential in various fronts.

“Kenya at the moment needs more than two thousand factories so as to address the runaway unemployment currently witnessed.”

The prof highlighted on the need for value addition in order to reap the maximum out of agricultural products such as bananas
“Our Bananas can be processed to amoe things like fibre, wine, jam, marmalade, flour and so on. All these are adding value to the therebefore fruit which is bought by middlemen at throw away prices.”

The highly popular candidate also spoke of his intention to link qualified youths with jobs abroad .
“The current global gap workforce stands at about ten million people annually. Canada alone requires two million workers everyday and we must work to bridge that.”

On women and youths the Prof. Observed the need for their constant empowerment.
“The factories I have talked about it’s the women who are going to lead and operate them thereby empowering them.

His key message to the voters of Kandara is:
“Don’t accept tokenism. Shun those leaders who want to buy your vote with money.

Because you will sell your future for just Ksh 200 which cannot even afford you a decent meal. My advice to you is to elect leaders who are visionary.

Carefully scrutinize their manifesto, consider their plan, a person with a good heart and who upholds the values and principles as enshrined in Chapter Six of the Constitution that expounds more on leadership and integrity.”

Finally Prof. Joseph Mbugua Mburu wishes all Kandara people a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2023.

“I take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2023. Enjoy responsibly and please don’t overindulge.”
