ODM leader Raila Odinga and 2022 presidential hopeful has called for inclusivity across all ethnic groups in the country.

Speaking during a service at the ACK Cathedral in Nakuru on Wednesday, Raila called on Kenyans to unite irrespective of tribe, race, gender and generation.

“It’s the most important thing,” said Raila. “We don’t want somebody to feel insecure in any part of the country because he came from another part of the country.

“Kenyans should be able to live anywhere without fear that they will be molested or harassed,” he added.

Raila said the Azimio la Umoja campaign platform, on which he is popularizing his bid for the top seat in the August polls, is geared towards ensuring that Kenyans can establish businesses and thrive anywhere in the country without fear of political intolerance.

“A Luhya or a Luo should be able to go and live in Nyeri and work there and feel part of that society so that we don’t live anywhere at the mercy of another community and we don’t have internal refugees,” stated Raila.

Under his administration, Raila added, Internally Displaced Persons will be taken care of and their property compensated.

“This we will make a thing of the past, there will not be IDPs in our country. The property which has been taken by other people, we will ensure it is restored,” he assured.

The ODM boss is later in the day expected to address supporters at Mazembe Grounds before proceeding to Kivumbini.
